These thermoform tiles are made from UV Stabilized .013" thick vinyl plastic. They are designed to provide all the functionality of conventional drop ceiling tiles at a fraction of the weight. The feather-light construction makes them a breeze to install, easy to clean, stain resistant, water resistant, dust free, and eco friendly! Installation is fast and couldn't be any easier.

Designed to fit all standard 15/16" T-Bar Ceiling Systems. Will not fit in a 9/16" grid, please measure the visible width of your grid.

Not recommended for direct mount installation

Most of the thermoform ceiling tiles come in two sizes, 2'x2' and 2'x4', but if you have a 2x4 grid ceiling and would prefer the look of the 2x2 ceiling tiles, simply insert a 2' center T bar available online or at most local hardware's easy!

5 Year ProShield Warranty
The ceiling tile manufacturer guarantees that your ceiling tiles will be free from manufacturing defects for a period of five years from the date of purchase. Limitations apply. See full warranty information below.

UL Listing/Certification
ProLite ceiling tiles bearing this mark are UL tested and approved drop-out ceiling panels that can be installed beneath fire sprinklers. When exposed to heat from a developing fire, drop-out ceiling panels soften, distort, and fall from the ceiling grid. Heat from the growing fire activates the sprinkler which, unimpeded by the panels, controls or extinguishes the fire.

The Stratford grid tile is our most popular drop ceiling tile. Our customers are continually amazed at its ability to transform the look of their room. Its classic simplicity makes it a great option for any type of space. The repeating design of this 2x4 tile gives it the unique ability to create the look of a 2x2 tile, which can be nice in smaller spaces. You will find that it is a great time saver since it will help you cover twice the space in half the time. Being that it is Class A Fire rated, it is an excellent choice for most businesses and homes. We are also proud to say that it is made in the USA.

Things to Consider:
Since the Stratford tile is not flat on the back, it is not suitable for use as a direct mount tile.

While it is only .013" thick, the embossed design gives it the rigidity and structure needed to support itself in the grid without sagging. To avoid the risk of sagging, we discourage placing any weight directly on the tile. If you would like to keep your existing acoustical tile in the grid for insulation or sound barrier purposes, we recommend that you place it above the framework so that it is not putting any weight on the Stratford.

It is more than likely that your room has partial tiles around the perimeter. Not to worry- The Stratford tile lays nice and flat in the grid when cut to any size. Since the recession of the design is only .5", the gap is unnoticeable for most applications. View product images and customer installation photos for examples.

If your grid is already white and in good condition, it should match the white Stratford tile very well. If you are going with a colored option, we highly recommend that you consider the Grid Tape or Grid Strips since they are color coordinated with the ProLite collection. If you would prefer to avoid the extra expense, you can of course paint your grid as well.

Greenguard Gold Certification offers strict certification criteria that considers safety factors to account for sensitive individuals (such as children and the elderly), and ensures that a product is acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities. It is referenced by both The Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Building Rating System. Click here for more information.

Materials used in the construction of the tile(s) are 100% waterproof.

Class A Fire Rated
Tiles have been tested in accordance with ASTM 84e and scored a Class A rating for flame spread and smoke generation.

Interesting product!

The tiles are super thin and flimsy, and do not hold ceiling can lights, but we simply put them over our existing worn out panels, cut new holes for the can lights, and the ceiling looks like brand new! They are easy to clean and the pattern of the double squares really dressed up the place! That is how it worked in our remodeled restaurant. I am sure that for basements or rec rooms where there are not ceiling can lights, they would be a simple install by themselves and look great as well!

Great looking tiles and first class service!

Ordered (2x4) and (2x2) black Stratford tiles for my basement to replace old sagging acoustic tiles. Received the tiles quickly, in good condition along with several follow-up emails to make sure all was okay. The tiles look great and are very easy to install in my grid ceiling. They are also easy to cut for the pieces that need modification. I highly recommend Pro Ceiling Tiles and already plan to buy more tiles for future projects.

Easy to use

Easy to use. Really enhanced the space and very easy to clean. We used it in a bedroom where the tiles were fine but old and this was a great way to change the entire room on our own in a cost effective way.

Ceiling is beautiful, a nice upgrade.

Great customer service , I received the ceiling tiles 25 hours after submitting my order. The tiles installed and cut very easy , I used wafer lights and used 1/2 rigid foam board to stiffen the tiles to support the lights. This project came out perfect with great support from Proceilingtiles !!!!!

Looks amazing and super easy!

Replaced a foam drop ceiling with the these tiles and couldn't be happier. Love the PVC material so no moisture can build up in them. Super easy to cut with household scissors for install. And look great. Was concerned how it would look cut against the edges but even that looks amazing. Highly recommend.

Looks Great

Installed the ceiling tiles in the theater room, they look great and everyone compliments how well it turned out. Be aware however they are very flexible, the electrician who installed the lights was concerned that they would collapse due to the weight of the LED lights. The tiles were able to support the weight however it is important to note that a heavier light may not be able to be installed.

Cheap, flimsy garbage

You can 3d print higher quality for cheaper. Trust me, find another product.

Hi Ryan, thank you for taking the time to share your review! We are really sorry to hear how displeased you are with the tiles. They are super-thin to be eco-friendly and keep costs as low as possible, but should sit nicely in the grid and last many, many years. We responded to your email and also left a voicemail last month when you reached out, as we are committed to addressing any concerns and making sure that your ceiling project is done to your liking. We stand behind our products and anyone here would be happy to help begin a return or discuss alternative options. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and including us in your project!

Looks great

I was a little concerned because the tiles seemed flimsy and not sturdy but once we put them in, they look amazing. They were strong enough to hold recessed lighting. We also added drop in ceiling vents and sprayed painted them black and the ceiling looks fantastic. Very happy with the new ceiling.

Hi Shelley, thank you so much for taking the time to share your review! We're glad that you love the look. The Stratford really is an amazing tile. As thin and light as it is, we recommend that people use a bracket to put the weight of lighting on the grid itself (not the tile), but occasionally we hear from people such as yourselves who make it work in other ways. Just be sure to check your local building code to make sure that's ok. If you have any questions along your journey, give us a call. Anyone here would be happy to help. Thanks again for including us in your project!

So easy to install!

After installing gross acoustical tiles, these were a breeze! Unlike the acoustical tiles which are rigid and hard to get into the grid, these are slightly flexible, just enough give that it helps to just slide right into the grid. They also don't shed nasty crap on you. They were so easy to cut with scissors. My house is an old farm house. It is nearly 100 years old, so most of it's character includes not being square. There were several times I had to cut these on all four sides to get it to fit in the grid someone put up in the 80s. Super easy to cut and they didn't loose their structure even though I cut on all sides. The acoustical tiles took DAYS to install, but these just popped up. I think they maybe took 2 hours at the most. I couldn't believe how fast and easy it was. Also, I bought the black ones for a basement room I am turning into a wine cellar. I was afraid that the black was going to make it look to heavy, but with some lighting it looks polished and interesting. SOOOOOO much better than those crappy acoustical tiles. Easy to order, high quality for being such thin plastic. I would buy from these guys again!
