Constructed from 100% PVC Vinyl, our DuraClean tiles are Class A Fire Rated and can be washed over and over without any damage to them. Backed by our 25 Year ProShield Warranty, DuraClean tiles are built for a lifetime of use.

Designed to fit all standard 15/16" - 1" T-Bar Ceiling Systems. Most of the thermoform ceiling tiles come in two sizes, 2'x2' and 2'x4'.

FYI - If you have a 2x4 grid ceiling, but would prefer the look of the 2x2 ceiling tiles, simply insert a 2' center T bar available online or at most local hardware's easy!

Installation Requirements

DuraClean panels can quickly and easily fit into almost any ceiling grid system. Available in the same size as any typical 2' x 2' ceiling tile, it can be the uncomplicated replacement for the tiles that are seen and found in any typical office locale. There are some grids that use a "stab and connect" system that may cause the corners of the tile to sit higher than the rest of the tile.

When installing DuraClean tiles in ceilings with sprinkler systems, leave at least a 1/4" gap around the edge of the sprinkler bezel to the tile. This allows the tile to fall away from the ceiling during a fire and not foul the sprinkler system.

To cut any DuraClean panel, mark and score the face of the tile with a utility knife and snap it away from the cut. A skill or table saw can also be used in cutting multiple tiles at once and a RotoZip or hole-saw for odd sizes shapes and circular holes - like sprinkler heads or can lights.

Use a mild soap and water solution or most household cleaners to clean the DuraClean ceiling tiles. Just spray the cleaner onto a clean rag and wipe. Power-washing DuraClean panels is also an option, but avoid placing the spray nozzle tip too close to the panel in order to prevent damage to the tile face. The tiles are unaffected by most corrosive chemicals, but you should avoid using acidic cleaners. Do not use abrasive cleansers to scrub.

Things happen; leaks in the roof, cooking mishaps, kids, we get it! All of these things can lead to stained tiles. Since the DuraClean tiles are mold/mildew resistant and washable, stains are easy to clean and you won’t have to worry about replacing them repeatedly! You have the option of installing them in the grid alone, or putting them directly under existing acoustic tiles, and you can lay regular insulation right on top of the tile. Also, because the DuraClean is flat, these tiles are easily cut so they are perfect for using in rooms with partial tiles around the perimeter. What’s not to love?

Class A Fire Rated
Product has been tested in accordance with ASTM 84e and scored a Class A rating for flame spread and smoke generation.

The ceiling tile meets the criteria for use in Food Areas as outlined by the FDA Food Code 2013 Chapter 6 6-101.11. FDA Food Code 2013

Materials used in the construction of this product are 100% waterproof.

Warranty Conditions and Limitations
This warranty covers material defects in the ceiling tile when used in a standard ceiling application. It does not cover labor, consequential or incidental damages. This warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only. Please note that painting the ceiling tile will void the warranty and may change some of its properties like its fire rating.

We're Ready to Help
Unlike a car, there is very little that can go wrong with these ceiling tiles. However, in the rare event that you do encounter a defect with your tiles, we are here and ready to help. Just give us a call and we will work with you to identify the problem and, in case of defect, supply you with replacement tiles.

Tools Needed for Installation

  • Tape Measure
  • Pencil or Wax Pencil
  • Straight edge
  • Razor knife or fine tooth saw
  • Gloves
  • Eye Protection

Protective Film & Static
We recommend waiting to remove the protective film until just before you place the tile into the grid. This will protect the surface from minor damage as well as fingerprints. You should try to minimize rubbing or dragging the tiles across each other during handling and installation. PVC is really good at building up static electricity when rubbed together. If your tiles are retaining a static charge after removing the protective film, you can dissipate this charge by using a dryer fabric softener sheet or damp cloth and sweeping it across the surface of the tile.

Installing - Start with Full Tiles
Place all of the full sized tiles first so you can:

  • Verify grid is properly aligned/spaced prior to cutting partial tiles.
  • Set aside any tiles with damaged corners to use for border/partial tiles. We ALWAYS gladly replace any tiles damaged in shipping, but if you need to cut tiles for border tiles, you'll end up cutting off 2 corners anyways. This can save you time, save the environment, and help you complete your project perfectly without waiting for replacements.

Cutting Border / Partial Tiles
Mark measurements on the back side of the tile with a pencil or grease pencil. Use a metal straightedge and score the tile several times, then bend at the score line to snap. You can also use a powered saw with a fine-toothed blade. Always make a test cut first.

Recessed / Can Lights (optional)
Place your light fixture and tile in the grid system. Adjust the light to its final position and mark this on the backside of your tile. Use the appropriate size template to mark the hole in the tile. Use a Dremel tool or something similar to cut out the hole.

We do not recommend can light fixtures that are not designed for direct contact with insulation nor do we recommend using halogen lighting. Unshielded fixtures, especially those using halogen lighting represent a risk of fire or melting the tiles.

High Temperature Areas
Our tiles are designed to operate in temperatures up to 120F. Higher temperatures can happen around heat registers, above stoves and ovens, around high temperature lighting, and in environments that intentionally have higher temperatures, like heat spas, and Hot Yoga/Bikram studios. Contact us if your space may be subjected to any of these conditions.

Looks great

Easy to install and gives the space a really nice look compared to the typical ceiling tile. The only thing I would recommend is to wear gloves when you install them or make sure the area is clean. It does pick up fingerprints and any debris you might have on your hands. It also scratches fairly easy but if you are careful, you can get it installed without any issues and you will be happy you got this product. As for the acoustics, i left the old ceiling tile above these. It not only made the acoustics better but also saved time and money by not having to discard the old ceiling tiles.

Looks good

This product was easy to install and looks good. It did change the acoustics in the building somewhat but, this is only a minor change.

Looks great , Easy install

Be careful not to scratch them while installing. These are clean , flexable if you have tight spaces to fit them in. Cut easily for the odd shape corners. Easy to clean. We installed new drop ceiling in area of plant that used to have oily screw machine drippings from pipe and conduit. Easy to take out and wipe down and put back up.

Seem to be nice so far

I installed these tiles as a replacement for my white acoustical tiles. I have a projector screen just a few inches below the ceiling and the tiles remove most ( but not all ) of the reflected light. I'd recommend them.

Looks, good.

Did have some pieces chipped on corner from shipping? Does look a whole lot better that the regular white tiles we had.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! I'm really sorry that a few tiles arrived with damage from shipping. We stand behind our product and shipping, so if there is damage and replacements are needed, please reach out to us. We simply need pictures to file a claim with our shipping company and can get replacements out right away. Hopefully you were able to use them (for example, cut down for those 'border' areas) but, if not or if damage happens on any future order, please contact us right away. Thanks again!

Looks good.

The tiles worked well and look good. The issue that I have is out of the fifty there were about a total of eight that looked as though they were rejects. They had knit lines showing in them with rough spots. I used these where they had to be cut or were by a wall.

We replaced every ceiling tile in our dealership. We were tired of the dingy look of stained and discolored acoustic tiles. These are waterproof and will not stain. This is by far the best ceiling tile around. We found that they are perfect for led downlights. They drill out easily and clean and look awesome with the downlights installed in them. This is by far the best investment in ceiling tiles and literally the last ones you will ever need to buy.

Lovely But Loud

These Tiles are easy to install, cut and look great, but have no sound dampening properties. Would not buy again for a space.

Rugged and clean looking tile

I installed them between engineered wood beams (using the flared-out portion of the lower edge of the beam to hold the tile), so in my case each one needed to be cut. I found them pretty easy to score and snap. They are rugged in cases of high moisture or a leak in a pipe etc.. Overall they look nice. Some of the tiles were damaged on the corners from shipping, but since I needed to trim them all for width it didn't cause me a problem.

Worked well for our border tiles

We were looking for a border tile that would compliment our Madison tiles. These worked perfectly and look good. Since it was a border, tiles had to be cut to fit and these tile are very easy to cut. Simply score a line with a utility knife and presto. We did have some broken from shipping. They seem to be packaged well but were delivered with a torn box that had been taped back up. We were able to work around the broken ends and all turned out well.

Glad these worked perfectly for your project and that you were able to use the few that were damaged. We're always happy to replace any damage, but are certainly appreciative that you were industrious and used those for your partial border tiles (good thinking!).
